I started the week with the section: Something Borrowed, which was the post for Monday. Basically it’s a Quote about Reading or Books. Like always, I entitled the sections with a title of one of the books that I already read and somehow liked it. Tuesday I shared a Glimpse of / Illuminate / By: Erica Orloff. Then Thursday I posted another Teaser / Insight, this time Balthazar / By: Claudia Gray. That’s everything for this week. Also Windowpane Memoirs will be on Hiatus until I complete my moving process. I’m happy to announce the winner of our May Contest. drum roll …; Keysh is the winner; please send me your addresses under the subject “contest winner” and the title of the contest you won. Thanks to all who participated. Happy Reading!!!

Everything!!! I LOVED … LOVED that the main story follows the steps of an old love story that is revealed in an antique book and how the love story of Heloise and Abelard lead the characters in Illuminated to crossroads. The main character Callie is adorable and her love interest August is just lovely. Also the other secondary characters are full of life like the main characters. The journey of Callie and August is very tender, but also the story’s journey of the secondary characters are full of spark. What I liked the most is that Illuminated is kind of a contemporary story with some nice touches of supernatural “ingredients”. Illuminated is a novel that certainly could NOT be missed because of the precious of it.

Waiting on Wednesday is a Weekly MEME Hosted By: Jill at Breaking The Spine. Each week, Book-Bloggers spotlight what upcoming release they’re eager for.

Sixteen-year-old Tess lives in a compound in what was once the Western United States, now decimated after a devastating fourth World War. But long before that, life as we knew it had been irrevocably changed, as women mysteriously lost the ability to bring forth life. Faced with the extinction of the human race, the government began the Council of Creators, meant to search out alternative methods of creating life. The resulting artificial human beings, or Chosen Ones, were extraordinarily beautiful, unbelievably strong, and unabashedly deadly. Life is bleak, but uncomplicated for Tess as she follows the rigid rules of her dystopian society, until the day she begins work at Templeton, the training facility for newly created Chosen Ones. There, she meets James, a Chosen One whose odd love of music and reading rivals only her own. The attraction between the two is immediate in its intensity and overwhelming in its danger. But there is more to the goings-on at Templeton than Tess ever knew, and as the veil is lifted from her eyes, she uncovers a dark underground movement bent not on taking down the Chosen Ones, but the Council itself. Will Tess be able to stand up to those who would oppress her, even if it means giving up the only happiness in her life?

I’m a HUGE fan of Dystopian Societies and Chosen Ones sounds so GOOD. The synopsis is very rich and the cover just captured its vibe. Also I loved the distinguished touch of Entangled Publishing Books.

My Lovely Bliomaniacs: I hope YOU are all OK at the moment you read this Website Update. I just want to let you know that Windowpane Memoirs will be on Hiatus until May 1. The reason of the lack of updates on the site is that don’t feel in the spirit to be online and work all the promotion that each title entry deserves. I always feel that if I will not give my 100% it’s better taking some time off. Recently, my family and I have been through a lot; we lost someone and another family member if fighting the same illness. All this plus the fact that I haven’t been able to see my family in more than two years is affecting my deeply. That was the reason I decided like a month ago to take a Hiatus Online from the site and all the social media related to the web, so I could take time to focus on what it’s important that is praying, spending time with My Love + babies and focus my energy on what’s God plan for me trough this storm. Because it doesn’t matter how sad some situations can be, I totally believe that God uses every experience for a GREATER purpose and to show us how amazing His mercy, love and grace are. Thankfully I’m going HOME next week (Yes!!!), also I’ve been reading a LOT; I’m just 32 books away from my 2012 Reading Challenge which is pretty good considering that It’s not the midyear yet. That’s everything for now … “see you” all soon and Happy Reading!!!
